In addition to the pandemics virus, the other two notable alarms that environmental scientists are raising are related to food and water.  Scientists predict that any disruptions to our fragile food system or the quality and availability of clean drinkable water could spell global disaster for not just our species but potentially for all.  There were already signs of food and water shortages before this pandemic; one now of either of those two factors [food or water] in addition to this pandemic would be impossible??????? right??????…. What do you think the consequence would be?
I would like for you to discuss the link between water and food production systems (i.e. both agriculture and livestock).  Specifically, does the agricultural and livestock industry contribute to water shortages? If so, how and why. In the year 2050, will there be enough water in the U.S. for human consumption, our farmlands (agriculture), and livestock (cows, chickens, pigs, etc)?
